i am the first to admit that i have done a bit of regifting in my day.
you get a clunker....you pass it on.
it's sort of like the ultimate in recycling.
i stopped regifting when i received something and tried to return it for store credit.
the clerk looked at me and could barely contain himself.
he said they hadn't carried this particular item in years and therefore could not give me a credit.
it was pretty humiliating.
