while everyone in the world was evacuating and filling their bathtubs with water, we were at the tennis club.

one thing for sure...it was a lot more interesting than watching the weather channel.

jimmy and zoe played a great, exciting match winning 2-6. 6-3, 6-2.

now they're in the finals.

it's just no one knows when that will be!

hurricane irene will have to wait....

because jimmy and zoe are still in the mixed doubles championship.

this afternoon they beat the #1 seeds so now they're in the semi finals.

which will be played tomorrow (saturday) at 11.

so, there's no time for this hurricane or whatever.

we're in the middle of a tennis tournament.

zoe had a great summer interning for chuck schumer.

i don't know whether it convinced her to go into politics but it got her thinking about the governing process.

at the end of the summer, the senator sat down with all the interns and talked to them about their future plans and goals.

i love that.

he's got my vote.

we're getting to the finish line here.

officially we've got like 10 days left of summer.

and another seven days till school starts.

thank goodness because we need that extra week to turn our brains on, buy some notebooks, get some new clothes.

and i guess prepare for this hurricane that's heading our way.

what a finale that would be.

geez, it's not easy writing this blog.

i am constantly seeking inspiration from anywhere i can.

and as you can see today....i am really reaching.
