it's been a looong winter. it's nice to be in ft lauderdale on a sunny, almost 80-day. what am i going to do today.... not a damn thing. and really looking forward to it.
what is it about blogs? everything and everybody just looks and sounds so cool. especially people and their blog profiles. writer. cook. poet. i totally want to know this person. don't you? maybe you already do. if so, send him/her this card.
it takes a lot of time and energy to not turn into a boring blob. god knows i try. and then there's all the real life stuff that has to happen, too. one day i'll get it all figured out. hopefully i'll still have some friends left. tgif
i created this card because there's something so addicting about huffingtonpost. maybe the way they mix politics and gossip? it's like perez hilton meets christiane amanpour. where else can you read all about health care reform AND see a historical perspective of michelle obama's hair dating back to 1975? whatever it is, i'm hooked.
i was done with the 'what's cool' series and then health care reform passed. how could i not weigh in on this subject? what a haul this bill has been. but it feels like the right thing. joe biden said it best, 'this is a big f deal.'
this card was a lot easier to do than yesterday's. could it be the extra large starbucks coffee i treated myself to this morning? perhaps, er, undoubtedly. or maybe there's just a lot to be said for appreciating where we are right now. sometimes i forget how old i am, literally. i sort of like that.
it took me a long time to do this one. not sure if it's bc the idea sucks or i just hit a block on this subject. i remember when i got engaged, it was all so overwhelming. which is why my husband and i decided to move to australia and just ignore the whole thing. a great option, if you can do it.
you know what they say---it's not what you say but how you say it. i am going to leave these post-its around the house and see if they improve productivity amongst family members.
